About ME

I grew up Mormon and honorably served a mission in London, England. I asked God if I served a mission for him to send me home straight. Surprisingly, he did not. Once I returned home, I sought to live a more authentic lifestyle and come to terms with my sexual orientation. It was quite the experience for a sheltered Mormon boy to enter the gay community, but that process led to a personal passion for helping others navigate their similar journey.

"I believe everyone deserves to live as the best version of themselves" - Ben Cobos

I have worked with many in the community who have been conflicted with their religious beliefs and sexual orientation. In my five years working with clients from all over California, I have worked with individuals and couples who are committed to becoming the best versions of themselves. I have worked with diverse populations and various backgrounds. I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental environment where you can be free from guilt or shame.

I hope each client feels comfortable, confident, and inspired that you are in the right place!  I encourage you to reach out so your new journey can begin!

Values
from MY
Practice

Trust

I believe in creating a space where you can truly be yourself and together we can build a strong therapeutic relationship. Trust is essential in the therapeutic process in order to talk about the challenges you are facing. I seek to create a place where you feel safe, supported, and relaxed.

COLLABORATION

Therapy is an unique journey where the individual(s) work together with the therapist to create a treatment plan. The treatment plan can consist of what form of therapy to consider, achievable goals, and measurable guidelines to track progress.

Freedom from Shame

Many people feel ashamed when experiencing psychological difficulties and illnesses. I work with various people from all walks of life, from celebrities and business leaders to the homeless, and know that there is no shame in finding life difficult – it happens to all of us from time to time.
